Olympic Diner in Kingston

I went there very late Saturday night and then again Sunday morning. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating both times. The food is pretty good. We didn't wait for a table. The diner is close to a few major highways.

Service was great. Waitress was very accommodating. It's the diner food you expect!

I'll rate this place a 2 and 3/4 stars. My fiance said his meatloaf was flavorless and thinly sliced. The chicken soup was Campbell's soup. My burger tasted okay but it wasn't that great... I've eaten better burgers elsewhere. The waitress didn't seem so friendly. I'd probably won't make a return visit.

All the diners in the mid-hudson area are great. Never fails to deliver a great inexpensive meal.

I can honestly say the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had.

Wanna be called "hon" or "sweetie" by your server? Then look no further, the Olympic is where you want to be. It's open 24/7 and serves the entire menu every moment of it like a proper dinner should! Can't speak for the day, but service in the middle of the night is folksy and friendly, once again, like a diner should be. Need I say more? Eat here already!

The food and accommodations were excellent. Everyone was kind including the customers who wished me a happy birthday! It was the kindness that is much needed in this world❤I will be returning!! ❤

We are from North Carolina. Our flying club found this restaurant in the late 90’s. Everyone loved the food, especially the large delicious cheese cakes. We returned there in 2015. The place was remodeled and the food was even better. We were amazed at the great taste of the food, abundant servings and reasonable prices. We would highly recommend the Olympic Diner. If we could we would award 6 out of 5 stars.

It's ok. Food is pretty cheap so it makes it possible to eat out frequently. If you pick their special you get dessert which is a + for the kids.

Soup was watery, as was the rice pudding. Everything else very good

Under new management & a vast improvement with many new dishes. A local location known for it's dinner specials offering delicious foods consisting of large portions (which include soup, salad & dessert) at great prices. Their sauteed chicken, broccoli & crabmeat is a must try!During our recent visit, I was disappointed to see possible owners or managers standing around in amusement with us while my sister & myself (mobility impaired) were getting our salads. I comment for them stop taking amusement & instead asked them to help.On a final note, it would be a big plus to have the server wait on bringing the main entree until we finish the soup & salad. Felt rushed.

Everything you could possibly wish for in a small town diner.Great location, great food, and excellent service at more than reasonable prices. All within sight of exit 91 on NYS Thruway. Also only a couple of hundred feet from a Tesla Super Charger with 16 slots.Best of all, it's right next to the Ice Cream Castle.

Great value with good food and service. It's tough to leave hungry when the lunch specials come with soup, a full sandwich, boat load of home frys and dessert. Restaurant was clean and stayed busy.

Amazing menu! Tons of daily specials, all include soup, salad and dessert! Can't beat that. I've never seen anything like it in my whole life!

FIRST TIME THERE..MEET FAMILY FOR LUNCH...FOOD WAS AMAZING....DESSERT WAS INCLUDED IN OUR LUNCH SPECIALS.....HAD THE CANNOLI CAKE. OMG SO GOOD.

I eat here a lot since I work right next to it. I have to say the service is always awesome and they keep the spot clean at all times. Rates are fair and they serve generous portions.

Places nice atmosphere is nice... The night I win it was slow... The food was okay... even though the chicken soup seem to be Campbell's chicken noodle... Had that Campbell's smell and look to it... The corn was definitely from a can and the meatloaf was okay and thinly sliced mashed potatoes with decent the gravy was edible not great... And the milkshake was then and simple...

The food was great, as was the staff. Get the twin bacon cheeseburgers! But be careful driving home. They put me to sleep!

If you like a big breakfast like me then you'll love this place. I chose the Olympic Breakfast with French toast and it was super delicious!!! Sausage are big and has great flavor! I asked for me hash browns to be deep fried so they can be crunchy and they accepted my request. Great place overall and price was excellent. New favorite breakfast joint on NY for now.

Very classic American Diner . We went there during the quarantine so the only option was take food to go. Yet , it was delicious and service was great and extremely fast . Next time I’ll be in the area will definitely stop by again. Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend

Consistent good food at good prices.

We had to find a diner open on Christmas day, and this was the only one of those we called that was open.I've only been there a handful of times, but each time, this diner was not very clean, and the food was surprisingly tasteless. Service not great either.We only go there if there's nothing else open.

Horrible service and come slaw was sour. Think they'd offer to make something up regarding the bill? Not at all. Old owners need to come back cause New owners are running it down

Very good food and very good service. You really get bang for your buck at this place. The best thing to do is go with the specialist because that's where you get the most bang for your buck.

The staff at this diner was obviously trying very hard to be accommodating. They took my order quickly and accurately, and the food came out suspiciously quickly.That being said, the decor does not seem to have been updated since 1980. most of the customers seemed to be regulars and knew the wait staff on a first-name basis.The food quality was hit and miss. My veggie burger deluxe seems to have been microwaved from a frozen pre-made Patty. On the contrary, the toppings were fresh and delicious, even including a ripe tomato slice which is a rarity in a local restaurant scene.The portions were generous, and the fries were fantastic. My meal included a half-sour pickle, a beautiful addition I was not expectinThe staff were accommodating and helpful, attentive but not annoying.But in the end, my meal was sullied by the fact that the main event, my veggie burger, was hastily prepared straight from the freezer.

Ended up here with my family by chance. Was in the middle of a 9 hour drive from pa to Maine and pulled over at this exit. Saw the diner and gave it a shot. Great menu. Breakfast all day, good Greek salad and wraps...very good turkey burger as well. I’m noting location so it’s a destination next time we pass through!

We love this place. Great meeting place for my family. Staff is alwat a very nice. My family usually has lots of questions and weird requests, they are always patient and respectful. Meals here are super cheap! You can get a soup, salad, main, drink and dessert for $12-$15 depending on the special, senior menu, etc. Everything is delicious.Classic diner that really does it well!

The food was delicious and the service was great. The prices are reasonable especially for the amount of food they serve.

Perfect food, perfect price, perfect service. The amount of food you get for the price is unbelievable. Out of all the dinners I have been to in my life this is in the top 3. Very friendly people and staff. Very clean and laid back.

We found this little jewel just off the NYS Thruway. She's kind of off the road but if you look for she's there. And while the Diner looks to have been around a while don't let that put you off. She's a bit small as Diners go but she has quite a complete menu. The food is superior and the service rivals even the greatest of restaurants. No rushed service. Friendly staff. She's worth the effort, especially if you are a traveler looking for a great place to eat for a resonable price. Kingston, NY, just off the Thruway.

Good food n great great service

Me and my family went to the Olympic tonight instead of a few other local diners. Our service was very fast, friendly and all orders came accurate. Prices were normal and the food was great. Becky was our server, made us feel welcome, and was great. This was obviously not her first rodeo. The man who seated us (I assume the owner) was super friendly as well and made sure to tell us he appreciated us coming when we were leaving.

I am in love with gyro meat and they serve it here. Love it. Well spiced and so satisfying every time.
